It''s a bit posh round Fulham! Posh pub beforehand (The Crabtree - £5 a pint!!!!). Posh fans (who hardly sang, even when they were 3 0 up). And posh pie, mash and onion gravy in the ground (only veggie, not vegan in veganuary!) but bloody tasty. So good in fact I had double helpings. Billy the Badger mascot looked on as Forest gifted Fulham 3 goals in the first 36 mins - and if it hadn''t been for Dorus it could have been 5 or 6. We were dreadful. But Lansbury scored a free kick before half time to give us hope. He got another with half an hour left and we thought the great escape was on. But alas not - we missed a hatful of great chances (incl Hobbs, Assombalonga and Tesche) and we still lost. Incredibly disappointing given the result at Derby the weekend before. Never mind - only a 3 hour drive home afterwards! Enjoyed seeing the cottage + the Johnny Haynes statue + walking along the Thames path, especially coming back when the tide was out and the mudflats visible. Very nice part of London. The ground was fairly small but all the stands were modern and in good nick. Next to the away fans they had a neutral zone - never seen that before - very middle class. U reds. Before - been to CC once before but can''t remember when or who was playing - probably when I was at Uni in late 80s.
