A comfortable victory even without Steve Bull ! Wigan were (as now !!) in a higher division and without our leading scorer we were not too confident. A great display by the team though and Jackie " he's fat, he's round, he's worth a million pound" Gallagher got us on our way. I remember the away terracing being partly grassed and in the wet conditions quite a few fans went home to big laundry bills
