Went to Heavitree (previously Horse and Groom) pub before the match as that was where Cliff Bastin finished up after Arsenal. Then on to St James' Park where we couldn't find the way in.
Eventually made it to be met by Andy Gillard (and later Bruce Henderson).
Old fashioned hospo suite but still nice and everybody we met was welcoming. Met ex Mayor and his son, Phil (going to a ball afterwards), a couple of Germans guys doing the ninetytwo as well (and alredy up to 72) and so on.
The ground is small but great atmosphere - especially under the lights.
After we met Guillem Bouza (sweetie-pie) and Jimmy Keohane (MoM) for photos. Oh yes, and Andy's mum.
A great night out.
