| Darlington were drawn out of the hat as 'Lucky-Losers' from the 2nd round of the 99-00 FA Cup - to play in the 3rd round - when Man Utd pulled out in order to play in a big money overseas tourny.We were drawn away at Villa - and I won a comp. in a local paper - 2 tickets for Villa's hospitality suite, plus 'best-seats' for the match.Met Doug Ellis, David James, George Boateng and a couple of others, and was sitting a couple of rows in front of Ellis. About 4.500 Darlo fans were behind the goal to my left.Villa took a 2-0 lead, but when Paul Heckingbottom scored a pen (after a rebound), the last 20 mins was all Darlo. I could hear the Villa fans all around me - panicking every time darlo got the ball and pushed forwards.Gabbiadini was suspended for that game, and I'm convinced that if he'd played, we would have got at least a draw.Fantastic day out tho.............
