Torquays biggest home attendence so far this season aided by 300 travelling fans. TOTAL VISITS 3 TRANMERE VISITS PLD2 W2 D0 L0 GF3 GA1. Other game v Scarbourgh. Arrived with plenty of time so had a wonder to the downs and picked up fishfingers and chips jokingly asking if they came with seagull protection only to find they were served in a box! Having stood on the terrace on my last visit i decided to sit in the new stand which had a good view, it has become a very tidy ground and i do feel a bit for them with constant finacial troubles and low attendances coupled with their geographical location. The game was fairly even although rovers occasionally showed some flare in the middle of the park neither side created many clear cut chances, as usual Tranmere just seemed a yard short mentally and physically just off the top gears. It was a game of fine margins settled by a pin point cross from Vaughan and a good headed finish from Higdon. Disappointing tickets weren''t issued when paying on the gate instead being issued with a tramp stamp however i did manage to aquire one from a fan who had bought from the ticket office earlier
