Comments :
Am I City''s good luck mascot? 4 games 4 wins. City won a game where there were mostly second best but techy Telford got what they deserved. Before the kick off both catering staff and their customers spoiled the minute''s silence with their insensitivity. The away side had the best of the early exchanges, however, it was the home side who took the lead on the nine minute mark, in what was their first sight of goal. Connor Hughes crossed in from the right, causing confusion in Telford''s six-yard-box. The ball eventually fell kindly to 40-year-old veteran Lee Hughes, who back heeled the ball into the corner of the net, in the style of the Seventies table-top game Striker. Hughes was a double hero (!!) clearing off the line mid-way through the half. Unpleasantness abounded with Hibbert and Bailey appearing to strike Worcester midfielder Connor Hughes in the face, but the referee only produced a yellow for the Telford pair, and taking an age to complete the process. The second-half followed the same pattern as the first, the away side with the possession and pushing hard for an equaliser. Worcester forced themselves back into the game but were to pay for their missed chances, when a corner just 12 minutes from time found Telford defender Havern free in the box, and he headed home to equalise. With the game heading towards a draw, in fifth minute of added time, Cieron Keane then slotted a delightful ball through to substitute Colby Bishop, who ran clear and slotted under Montgomery''s legs to win the game in dramatic circumstances for the home side.
