Comments :
This was always going to be a tough fixture for Worcester, tougher as Lee Hughes was absent but City went close to taking the lead in the 40th minute as Colby Bishop was played through by Cieron Keane. The striker, all alone in the Fylde box got a shot away, only to be saved by Taylor in the Fylde goal. Fylde immediately countered and the ball fell to Danny Rowe, (scoring on average 1.5 goals per game) on the edge of the area, who drove a low effort past Ethan Ross, giving the visitors the lead. Rowe was the difference between the teams. A cross came in from the left which Tom Sharpe glanced towards his own goal. Ethan Ross tipped it acrobatically on to the crossbar, but Rowe was braver than the defender to stroke in the rebound and double Fylde's lead. City started the second half much livelier, pushing Fylde back and pressing higher up the pitch and their pressure was rewarded in the 54th minute as Ebby Nelson-Addy broke forward and was tripped on 25 yards. Cieron Keane stepped up and curled a wonderful effort beyond Rhys Taylor. City almost grabbed an equaliser late on as Colby Bishop capitalised on a mistake at the back, but as he burst forward, Rhys Taylor stood up bravely and then saved low to deny the City striker.
