First ever meeting between the sides ended in a disappointing draw. Chelmsford came to defend but Tranmere disappointed. The replay would have been attractive with a first visit for myself and tranmere however i''d used all my good luck getting to Woking the previous week. As with that fixture i needed to give a months notice for time off work and with the coach leaving at 12.45 my only option was to book the 15.45 train from Lime street and pray things went my way, close but no cigar, an audit probably just delayed me enough to miss my first game since being relegated out of the league at the end of 2014/15 plus an accident outside the station ground the traffic to a halt thus missed the train by a few minutes. £92 wasted and those that drove found chaos on the roads surrounding chelmsford due to a lorry crashing off a bridge. at least a much changed Tranmere turned up in a 4-1 win.
