I went to this game with my girlfriend Charlotte, who I'd managed to secure a ticket for. One person from the Shed End chat boards on the official Chelsea website was kind enough to offer me use of his membership to secure a second ticket, which he sent to me in the post. Charlotte and I caught an early train from Piccadilly to London, being slightly delayed which meant we didn't have time to go to a pre-match pub. We met up briefly with Mike Hargraves and his friends afterwards outside the Butcher's Hook, and would have accompanied them to a pub on the King's Road but for our needing to catch our train. We walked from Stamford Bridge to South Wimbledon tube station, not being arsed with the usual Fulham Broadway crush. Charlotte seemed to be quite into the game, especially at the end when we tried to chase a late winner, with Franco Di Santo very nearly scoring his only goal for Chelsea with his head but for a reaction save by their keeper Mildenhall in the dying seconds. It was about the time every winter where Chelsea start having a strange inability to defend set-pieces, and Scolari's bubble had burst.
