An entertaining encounter burst in to life in the second half. Darlington took the lead in the 72nd minute as David Syers headed past Ethan Ross from a corner and the body language of City players and fans alike said it all, Another defeat. But City substitute, Jordan Murphy, changed all that, his pace creating problems for the Darlo defence. On 85 minutes he pulled City level, cutting inside and finishing calmly. 3 of the 6 additional minutes shown had passed as Murphy again cut in from the left and defenders could only help his shot over the line. Cue euphoria, but it couldn''t have been more short-lived, Darlo had equalised before City touched the ball again. From the kick off the ball was played out to the left, the cross came in and Harvey Saunders was there to head in to the back of the net.
