Went to this while staying at Nan's for a couple of days. Left at approx 19:00 and drove with Dad and Joseph to the ground. Got there about 19:15, the ground itself is on the other side of the village from nan's. When we got there we had to pay admission on the gate to the car park as there was no turnstiles to get in. Sat in the stand which held approx 40-50 people to watch the game which kicked off at 19:30. The pitch itself was like a bog which made the game entertaining in a different way than what football normally does. St Blazey were pretty bad in the first half with Camelford enjoying the majority of the possession and looking to play good football but a combination of poor pitch and poor passing at times letting them down. They, however, did get 2 penalties, the 2nd one being a debatable one to take a 2-0 lead into HT. 2nd half, St Blazey were the much better side and got back into the game with a fluke goal which was suppose to be a cross that managed to loop into the back of the net. St Blazey enjoyed the majority of the possession in the 2nd half and managed to level with a brilliant solo goal from their number 9. St Blazey continued to press to get only their 2nd win of the season and should have taken the lead had their number 7 (named Tornado) not missed an absolute sitter. The ball was passed back to the Camelford goalkeeper who spooned his clearance, Tornado then had an open goal from about 3 yards out but still managed to hit the crossbar and then saw his follow up saved. Unbelievable miss that I am unlikely to ever see again in my life. The same player than found himself 1 on 1 with their keeper about 10 mins later but after completely being taken out by Camelford's keeper didn't get a penalty somehow. The St Blazey captain received a 2nd booking after the complaints to the referee about the awful decision to not give a penalty and Camelford then got a free kick in the last 10 mins around the half way line which they launched into the box and a combination of a flicked header and poor goalkeeping saw the ball fly into the back of the net. Injustice to St Blazey who deserved at least a point from the game, if not all three. The game finished at about 21:20 and we drove back to nan's and got back at about 21:30.
