Comments :
Game 2 of 3 over the Easter bank holiday having attended Tranmere''s draw against Aldershot on the friday and the planned trip to Guisley on Monday. Drove up on the day getting to the ground the back of 1pm. Had done a none match day visit way back in 2000 but this was the first time i''d seen Raith play, as for Greenock i''d seen them at home but the away trip to Alloa a year or so ago had been abandoned on 66 minutes due to a snowstorm. Stayed overnight on the outskirts of Edinburgh enjoying a nice curry heading back on the Sunday. I new the home side were in a relegation dogfight but i sorta kept an eye from a distance on them ever since they apparantly copied Tranmeres 1984/85 programme design. Morton had the better of the first half a header brushing the post but Raith went ahead with a header from a corner from Barr. The weather was bright but with a cold blustery wind. Second half Raith pushed on and despite Morton twice more hitting the woodwork the last with a great free kick, a second goal came from Mathews driving in from close range after a cutback and the home side clearly grew in confidence
