Definition of winning ugly, the game started with Guisley visibly up for the battle whilst tranmere just didn''t turn up despite having an effort cleared off the line guisley took the lead with the one real bit of quality when Asamoah fired home from outside the box with the rovers defence backing off. Word must have filtered through that lincoln were losing at gateshead and tranmere looked to have woken up as the second half comenced. Norwood headed the equaliser and and cook got the winner with a fortuitous riquochet of the home keeper. Rovers looked nervous and hesitant at the back and looked destined to throw the points away but somehow held out.
