Comments :
Woke up at 8:00 for this one and went to breakfast on campus and picked up my lunch for the day. Got the 9:52 train to Manchester and got into Manchester at 10:50 ish. Walked from Piccadilly station to the National Football Museum. Spent about 2 hours in there and didn't manage to see all of it as I ran out of time and had to catch my train to Rochdale. Walked/ran to Victoria station and got the 13:16 train to Rochdale. From Rochdale station I walked to the ground which was about 2 miles away through very run down areas. Got to the ground at about 14:10 and collected my tickets and went into the ground. I stood in the terrace behind the goal as it was the cheapest out of the 4 stands. The ground itself was nothing special and could do with some changes. The game itself showed patches of entertainment but weren't consistently being shown throughout the match. Rochdale took the lead about 30 mins into the game with a turn and shot into the top corner from their number 9. They went and doubled their lead a couple of minutes later through a free kick which the goalkeeper wasn't able to keep hold of. Peterborough looked like a side that didn't want to be their and, in my opinion, didn't show enough respect to Rochdale. They had a few chances in the second half but no clear cut chances which could have got them back into the game. In the end, Rochdale saw the game out to get the 3 points. I then embarked, again, on the long walk back to the station and got their in time to catch the 17:28 train back to Manchester Victoria. I then had to walk from Victoria station to Piccadilly and lost track of the directions so it took a bit longer than expected. Got to Piccadilly station and got the 18:15 train back to Chester and got back to my room at 20:00.
