I was looking forward to doing another game in Scotland but this was initially my second choice but with East fife v Raith being a derby and only one stand didn''t think I''d get a ticket (ended 2-3). It rained all day with grey clouds prominent only saw one brief patch of blue sky on the way up for a few minutes. Looking on the website in the build up their recent results were mostly nil nils, but Annan had only one (against Clyde!) Clyde where third bottom of the table and Annan 4th top but got off to a bad start. A reckless challenge from brannon on 7 minutes had yellow written all over it however when he was given a bit of a tongue lashing replied with a headbutt. Quite surprised two Clyde players where shown yellows but ultimately the red card spelt the death knell for the game. He had let everyone down in particular his team mates and the travelling fans. Their were plenty of corners for both teams and a few half chances but a lack of quality. Annan had a goal ruled out for offside and hit the post, a couple of shots were cleared off the line before Clyde were also reduced to ten men in the 84th minute, Nicoll won the ball but did so with a lung and was deemed to be out of control which in the current climate was probably right. The programme was a reduced 16 pages rather than the usual 40 but was the same £3 cover price but it was still nice to have a programme. Headed home with a storm on the horizon.
