Left home at about 17:50 and went in the car with Dad and Joseph. Got to the ground at about 19:15 and sat in the main stand right along halfway. The 1st half was a drab affair with neither side creating many chances apart from a few half chances from Wycombe but they went in at HT 0-0. The 2nd half was much more entertaining with Wycombe creating good opportunities and moving the ball around very well before they finally went in front after about 50 mins through some good link up play before it was headed in from a cross by their number 24. Wycombe deservedly held the lead for most of the 2nd half and easily could''ve extended it with a few good chances. However, after about 75 mins Northampton were awarded a penalty against the run of play which was saved. It looked like Wycombe would then see the game out but 5 mins later Northampton equalised from a corner to send the game to a penalty shoot-out. Northampton had a penalty saved 1st only for Craig Mackail Smith to blast his one over to take it to sudden death. Wycombe won the shoot-out after a Northampton penalty was saved. Left the ground at about 22:00 and got back home at about 23:30.
