Was a tight call if i''d finish work in time to make the coach...unfortunately I did!! We arrived early enough and when the teams were announced the expected wholesale changes had been made however I was still quietly confident that we could give a good account of ourselves as on paper their were still some good players. Entry was only a fiver and after grabbing a Balti pie settled in to watch the game with the other 112 traveling fans for the early kick off. The first chance fell for rovers with cole taking his time to get his shot away allowing the home keeper to save, from then on it was all downhill. The first goal went through the defenders legs the second the pullback was unchallenged, the third the young keeper was nearly caught out at his near post by a wide free-kick and could only parry onto two onrushing strikers. The second half was an improvement but a hattrick from Okenabirhie didn''t flatter the hosts who looked sharp and hungry especially in the first half where they hunted in packs closing quickly and allowing no time or space for the visitors. Credit to the away fans who didn''t turn on the team and who sang and banged the drum for most of the game even if we joked on the coach home that we wanted our money back including the OAP''S who only had to pay a pound for entry. One to forget.
