I''d been to the ground once before but it was a friendly and I can''t remember much about it. Think the grounds set in an old quarry and as such has a rock face on one side of the pitch which is a nice feature, unfortunately it doesn''t show up well foe night matches with the floodlights masking it rather than highlighting it. Would attract a few more groundhoppers if they could rectify that. Probably had the worst bacon butty in the world so wouldn''t recommend the catering. The first half was played at a high tempo with plenty of free kicks with the visitors particularly aggressive in the tackle plus the ball was in the air for long periods but that''s not to say the game didn''t have it''s moments of skill. Druids took the lead when the forward(J.Davies) beat the keeper to a through ball and poked it under him. Newtown had their chances and should have scored at least one but half time saw the hosts maintain their advantage. second half Newtown who were 8pts and five places above their hosts dominated the second half camping in the druids half but where still wasteful. Eventually they won a penalty but smacked it onto the crossbar and it didn''t appear to be their day, moments later druids should have doubled their lead with a true one on one but the keeper came out on top. Heading into injury time Newtown got their deserved equaliser when a glancing header(L. Boundford) beat the home custodian
