I had originally gone to watch Swallownest v Shirebrook but this was cancelled. I only found this out 29 minutes before after having waited at the ground for some action. I had eaten a poor quality Chinese Special Satay! I drove up to this match as an alternative and got there at 2010. This being 25 minutes late! As soon as I entered the ground Hemsworth scored a great goal. The goalkeeper was chipped as he was off his line. Two minutes later Goole pulled one back for 3-1. The quality of football was much better than last week’s at Rossington Main. At half time I wandered around the ground. It was a typical lower non league type of ground with a social club on one side and a small stand on the other. Open behind each goal. In the second half Hemsworth scored two more goals. An entertaining match. I set off home and it took an hour in the rain.
