I finished my lesson with Darina in which she had driven very well. Then got on my way towards Bradford. I arrived with ten minutes to go but needed food. There was nowhere for a Chinese but I found. fish and Chip shop instead. The baked beans were awful. I mentioned this in a post on Facebook but was horrified to realise that because I had named the shop everyone could see that including the shop owner. He had commented defending his baked beans. I immediately removed my facebook post. It was tricky finding the ground but I eventually did and parking was straightforward. Once in I found a stand with bench seats. Thackley were the better side in the first half and scored a good goal. After the break however, Worksop were much better and eventually scored three times. A great cross and header, a penalty and then a shot from close range. Today was the day that Theresa May suffered a huge defeat in parliament with her Brexit deal and it seems our country is in a little bit of turmoil. I set off for home and discussed with Marlyn why I should charge a pupil for his cancelled lesson. We had been texting each other about it whilst I’d been at the match.
