Went with Dad for the lunchtime KO. Left home at 7:30 and got the underground from Tooting Broadway to Paddington and then got the 9:00 train to Bristol Temple Meads. The train arrived in at about 10:45 and we walked to the ground. The walk itself took about 40 mins along the River Avon. Got to the ground at about 11:30 and walked around it getting into our seats and having lunch. We sat in the section next to the standing and singing fans so the atmosphere was very good for most of the game. The game itself was a very entertaining one with both sides playing an open game of football with the ball staying in play for the majority of the first half. Both sides hit the post before Bristol City took the lead on the stroke of HT through a header by Palmer. Overall, they probably deserved to be leading at HT but Middlesborough weren't out of this game. The second half started a bit slower than the first and didn't really get started till about 60 mins when Middlesborough starting looking for an equaliser. They managed to get it through an OG around about 65 mins after the ball was drilled across the box. About 5 mins later Middlesborough took the lead after a defensive mistake. The ball was floated over the top and a misjudgement from the Bristol City defender allowed Assombalonga through 1 on 1 and he slotted the ball away to make it 1-2 to Boro. Bristol City then came out and tried to get an equaliser and got it after around 80 mins through a directed header into the bottom corner. The game finished 2-2 and we starting walking back to the station. We got there at about 15:10 and then got the 15:30 train home getting into Paddington at about 17:10. We then got the tube back to Tooting Broadway and got home just after 18:00.
