A controversial decision to give the whole of the South Bank over to away fans overshadowed the build up to the game. The fans who had to move were offered "a free pie and a pint" which also left a bad taste in the mouth. The game itself was one-sided and desperately disappointing. Kevin phillips again proving a thorn in our side.

Oh what joy to see the Beloved Dingle South Bank full of Albion fans. It all came about because of the extra allocation to away supporters by F.A. Cup rules. Effectively The Dingles (Wolves) were told by Police to allocate their entire home end to The Albion. To make matters wosre for The Dingles, their Cheif Executive tried to soften the blow by offering all Dingles a free pie and a pint at half time. The chant from The South Bank was "Sold your seats for a pie and a pint !!!" To top it off, The Dingles were outclassed.
