On our way to Norfolk for seal watching. Lovely lunch in The Old Bank House then Suey drove on to Happisburg while I walked through the town and a lovely huge park to the ground.
It''s nothing special. Typical ratty stand and terraces but what a crowd at this level. Big, committed and passionate. And the match was great: fast, hard and - in places - skilful. The opposition had a man sent off quite early (harsh I thought) which changed the game, but sides showed quite why they are vying for promotion.
In the end - whether the extra man, the home advantage or being just that little bit better King''s Lynn went on to win the game and cement/extend their top position.
I had to leave early to catch my first of three trains to Worstead where Suey would pick, me up. All perfectly on time and lovely new trains. Only one wrinkle. When I got to Worstead the doors wouldn''t open. I ended up getting off next stop down. Luckily it was only 10 minutes extra drive for Sue and we were ''home'' in our cosy Norfolk cottage soon after. Next day. Seals. Lots of them.
