Did not have a clue at 12 o''clock I would be here! Looking for a football fix I decided on Stafford rangers v Atherton Colleries but on arrival discovered it was a late postponement due to an away player from their last game(gainsbourgh) testing positive for covid19. The staff at Stafford were great giving access to the ground, a few butties from the hospitality and a couple of free progs before a few people put this game in my head(had thought about Congleton). First half was even with not many clear chances but the visitors came out strongly for the second half and took the lead with a shot from just inside the box on the left which I thought the keeper could have done better with although it did swerve a little. The second came with a glancing header from the right after a cutback cross from the by line This woke the home side up and they traded chances with both having shots cleared off the line, Worksops would have been spectacular as the keeper was lobbed as he was well outside his box. This was a season high home attendance 8 more than their FA cup replay defeat to Leamington and 42 more than their highest home league gate so far
