A Trip to the The Lamb is the second pre-season trip for the 2009 / 2010 season for Chris and Joe to see the mighty Tamworth against a Birmingham City XI
A half day at work for the lads and then a trip to selly oak where Joseph has his first tatoo ever and being the dedicated bluenose he is has the Birmingham City badge printed on his arm !! Selfy takes it like a man and dosen't faint or throw up and after about 50 minutes in the tatoo shop Selfy is a new man !!
A couple in the bristol pear is next and Selfy treats his friend to lunch. Christopher being the big lad he is follows his double burger meal with a nice big chunk of chocolate fudge cake to bloat him for the next few hours !!
Dave passes the pear and pops over for a quick chat before heading home to go shopping with Lorraine.
The lads set off just before 5pm and get the train to New Street, another train and the lads are in Tamworth about 5:45.
Joe hunts around for ages in the hope he can purchase cigerettes but it seems little Tamworth dosen't have a newsagents so Joe pays a bargain £7 in the Yates's pub the lads find.
A couple off more beers and the lads get a taxi to the ground which proves to be a very short journey. A pre match pint and the game begins. There is only Lee Carsley who is a first team regular and reserve goalkeeper Colin Doyle and then the rest are the young kids on our books aged 16-18. Not much happens first half but Blues find themselves 2-0 down at the break.
A pint again at half time in the little club house and then out for the second half. Blues hit back with a goal through Jarvis but a 3rd Tamworth goal killed the game late on. Not a bad effort from the Birmingham youngsters !!
The lads got the train back and where back in brum for about 10 past 10. A couple in the sunflower lounge and then a taxi home for the dedicated bluenoses !!
