Went with Dad by car. Left home at about 12:15 and drove down to the game. Got to Gosport's ground just after 14:00. The ground itself is a nice one, with two seated stands on either side of the pitch. At one end behind the goal is a flat grass service and behind the other is a covered terrace in front of the bar. The game itself wasn't the best with both sides looking to play long balls forward without any effort of getting the ball down and playing. Hereford took the lead after about 20 mins through a shot by John-Lewis from outside the area which nestled into the back of the net. Hereford went in 0-1 up at the break. The second half was slightly better than the first but once again, neither side were keen to get the ball down and play. Hereford doubled their lead through a penalty converted by John-Lewis just after the 60th min. About 10 mins later Gosport got one back and pushed to get an equaliser but with about 10 mins to go Hereford were awarded another penalty and converted to make it 1-3. Hereford deserved to go through as they were the better side for the majority of the game. Got back in the car and got home at about 18:45 because of a crash on the A3 which delayed us by about 30 mins.
