Went for a day trip with Dad by car as he wanted to see two former league sides on his bucket list. Left home at 8:15 and drove up to Glossop. The drive took us through the peak district and we got to the ground at about 14:00. The ground itself was a typical non-league ground with a small stand seating about 150 people with terracing around the rest of the ground. Met Charlie at the ground and he arrived at about 14:20. The game itself was a decent affair with Workington the better side and playing the nicer football in the 1st half. They opened the scoring within 10 mins of the first half through a deflected shot from the outside of the area. They didn't create too many chances but were good on the ball without being able to convert the odd chance they created. In the second half, Glossop had most of the ball and created a few chances in the second half with Workington missing a straight forward chance on the counter attack which probably would have killed the game off. Glossop didn't take the chances that they managed to create but should've had a stone wall penalty in the final minutes which was waved away. The game finished with Workington winning 0-1 and progressing to the next round of the FA Trophy. Drove back home arriving just after 21:00.
