| Even first half in this derby match but motors took the lead when a corner was headed home. The league leaders increased their lead second half when the keeper was rounded and the ball rolled home. Lairds got a consolation in comedy Christmas blooper style with a forty yard back pass rolling under the keepers foot on the edge of the box and had enough pass to end up in the net. At 2-1 you felt the away team could nick a point but the hosts came closest when a close range header went high with the goal gaping
