A very enjoyable afternoon was had by the great and the good at Villa Park. Long, Evans, Pearce, Tinsdale and the Lattimer brothers accompanied me on a hot and sunny day in the midlands. Starting early at Euston we had some breakfast they listening to my boring stories and then we were on our way. Proper beer was consumed in Birmingham City centre before and after the game. When we got to the train station near the ground we walked down an allyway which could have been taken from a scene in The Football Factory. Having survived walking through the lions den, the two Roberts brought a villa fanzine by mistake although it did give us some funny material on the trip home. Inside the ground, most of us had a lovely pie with a fork which is a must for any purchase of pie products. Sadly there was no beer sold inside our end which was disappointing but our seats being so close to the pitch gave us a heady sensation. West Ham nicking a goal late on gave was brilliant and made us leave the fantastic stadium on a high. We laughed so much and everyone enjoyed each others company. Looking forward to many more games with this group of lads.
