A game of two halves, Congleton posed the greater threat first half with former Port Vale star Tom Pope having a goal(wrongly in my opinion)ruled out for offside before blazing a penalty over the bar and also being unlucky to see a lob (under challenge from the keeper) go narrowly wide. The hosts had a good spell shortly before half time and threatened with a couple of corners. Second half Heys were on top although i couldn''t see a goal coming until they scored directly from a corner. Ironically having played the previous night in an over 40s game which we lost 5-2 the last goal of that game was direct from a corner, what do they say about buses?
