Match no. 1392. Fourteen years after the clubs met in the First Round Proper of the FA Cup (Match no. 913 - 10.11.2007 - Ware 0-2 Kidderminster Harriers), the stage was set for a rematch in what turned out to be an exciting and entertaining game. Harriers scored straight from the kick-off (I estimated it at 23 seconds!) and had the best of the first 20 minutes but Ware grew into the game and had two good chances to score before half-time. The second half was all Ware with more chances missed although Harriers almost sealed it when they hit the underside of the bar from a free-kick. But with 2 minutes left Ware finally scored from a rebound when the goalie parried a shot. Cue pandemonium and much jubilation from the home players and fans. In added time Ware forced a series of corners but were unable to make anything of them. And so the tie goes to a replay at Aggborough on 5th October. 50 years ago today: Match no. 226 - Spurs 2-1 Ipswich.
