Comments :
The latest storm put paid to Tranmere''s game and gave me an opportunity of a new ground however with plans in place for the rest of the weekend this was as far as i could go, to be fair Leek would have been my preferred option but that too fell foul of the weather. A bitterly cold day it was a game of two halves with the visitors taking advantage of the slope to look the more dangerous and have more possession however the hosts took the lead agaist the run of play with a fierce shot that the keeper could only divert onto the underside of the bar and in. Bootle scored twice before the interval to turn the game around. A one on one from the left resulted in a low shot through the keeper and the second was stabbed into the roof of the net from a cross. Kiddy started the second half strongly and should have equalised the keeper saving an initial shot before the ball was hooked back in and the same player headed wide when it looked easier to score. Both sides created half chances and the hosts evened out the possession stats but the visitors held on for the points.
