First half Pilkington looked sharper up front forcing countless corners and one really good save. AFC did have one shot hit the post and another effort cleared off the line but their was no score at the break. The funny talking point came at the end of the break when the PA announced a delay due to the visitors being locked in their dressing rooms with further quips of does anyone know a good locksmith and if theirs any burglars in the area. Shortly afterwards they were on the pitch but the message said an additional 5minutes would be allowed to let them get over the trauma but it was the hosts not out so the PA quipped if it was the away side locked in where were the host team? Other comments included at the end of the game that the ref had not indicated the amount of injury time but that we were in it! Over the course of the game the visitors committed a lot of fouls but by the same extent the hosts appeared to make a meal of most of them constantly calling for the ref to use his cards. The winning goal came from a corner on 50 minutes Stephens ghosting in at the back post to rifle home for the reds whose second half endeavour''s merited the win although pilks made a fist of it in the last ten minutes forcing the keeper into another good save. He looked a good shot stopper but his judgement coming out of the box at times was questionable and could have cost them.
