Comments :
Grace and I got the 11:05 train from Liverpool Lime Street to Birmingham New Street. A quick KFC for lunch in Birmingham before walking to the bus stop around the corner from Moor Street station. The 97 bus arrived and we offered to pay contactless but the bus only accepted cash so the driver let both of us on for free. Wanted a match day programme but the Birmingham City Club shop doesn''t sell them so went to Morrison''s cash machine to get cash to buy a match programme. A lack luster 0-0 match with the only highlight was Tom Huddlestone signing the match programme. After the match my phone battery had died so frantically getting apps downloaded to Grace''s phone to enable Trainline tickets to be shown at Birmingham New St to catch the 18:04. Sod''s law ticket barriers were all up and no conductor on the train to check tickets. So we could have travelled to Birmingham return for free!!!
