Was suppose to got to Port Vale with Sutton today but dad hadn't left isolation so I went on a bit of groundhopping to see 2nd v 4th in the National South. Left home at about 11:40 and walked to Streatham Common station getting the train to London Bridge. Changed at London Bridge to get a train to Northfleet arriving just before 14:00 and walked about 5 mins to get to the ground. The ground itself is a very nice one, with one new modern stand along the side of the pitch and the rest of the ground old stands and terracing that gives the ground its character. The game itself was an entertaining one with both sides looking to get the ball down and play attacking football. The game was quite even for most of the first half after Dorking took the lead after about 15 mins before Ebbsfleet equalised almost immediately. Second half Dorking took control of the game and played some lovely football, finding gaps and passing ball around really well. They had a number of chances to take the lead and potentially score more but they didn't take their chances and some great saves from the Ebbsfleet keeper meant that the game ended 1-1. Got back to the station and waited for the train back to London but was told the wrong platform by the tannoy along with everyone else to had to wait around for an extra 30 mins. Got off the train at Waterloo East and got the northern line back to Tooting Broadway before getting the bus home getting back at about 19:30.
