Went as part of non-league finals day at Wembley. Left home at 10:45 and got the bus and tube up to Wembley Park. Got to the ground at about 12:10 and was sitting in the Wrexham end as was meeting Charlie for the FA Trophy game. The game was a good one with Newport Pagnell the much better side. Littlehampton just couldn''t seem to do the basics which was a shame as I was expecting better from a side that had scored 150 odd goals and had a top scorer with over 50 goals. Newport PT scored a lovely opener after 20 mins. The ball fell to the Newport player on the edge of the penalty area who caught the ball on the volley and it flew into the net to make it 0-1 to Newport PT. The second half didn''t offer much better for Littlehampton and Newport managed to double their lead not long into the second half and then added a third from the penalty spot not long after to kill off the game to win the game and FA Vase.
