Comments :
Yes again the Met police over reacted with a hours wait after the game and then a train tour of South London, into Victoria that took another 30 mins instead of the 5 min back to london bridge. Quite funny in Victoria tho, when we had a "guard of honour" by the commuters. LOL

United manager Simon Grayson welcomed back Paddy Kisnorbo to his starting line-up in place of Jason Crowe, who dropped to the bench, as Leeds returned to the scene of last season's Play-Off semi-final defeat. United were backed by a sell-out 2,000 following, although a large number of empty seats remained in the away end at kick-off as fans were delayed following a number of road closures around the Den. It was Millwall who started brightly, though, and they were in front inside three minutes. Richard Naylor had already reacted well to avert the danger inside 60 seconds when Millwall broke down the right, but the Lions scored from their next attack. Paddy Kisnorbo celebrates his equaliser at Millwall A free-kick was swung over from the left and Neil Harris rose unchallenged to head the ball beyond Casper Ankergren. Leeds were almost level within the opening 10 minutes with an opportunity which served as a warning to Millwall. Jonny Howson ran unchallenged through the defence and after David Forde made a good save, Rob Snodgrass saw his follow-up deflected wide. Two corner-kicks later it was 1-1. Jimmy Abdou blocked a header on the line and Kisnorbo followed up by smashing the ball past Forde. While a number of Leeds supporters had missed Millwall's opener, they were all present for United's leveller and the vocal backing for Grayson's side was exceptional. There was no real pattern to the game, both sides were quite gung-ho in terms of looking to seize any advantage, and it made for an entertaining opening 20 minutes or so. Leeds were looking to play the neater football, but the home side were a threat from set-pieces and also looked to get the ball out into the wide areas quickly. But it was United who almost bagged a second goal on 33 minutes, courtesy of Sam Vokes. The loan striker linked up well with Jermaine Beckford, following a long Ankergren kick, but the ball wouldn't quite sit as he shaped to shoot and Forde was able to block his effort. When Leeds found the space to play you sensed that Millwall were vulnerable, and Bradley Johnson twice had efforts blocked following some good incisive passing play. Sam Vokes goes close at the DenAt the other end, Vokes was called upon to avert the danger at a free-kick, and Leigh Bromby headed away the resultant corner. The ball eventually came back to Jack Smith on the edge of the box, but he fired wide. Chris Hackett sent an effort skidding wide after he found space to get in a shot. Three minutes before half-time, Snodgrass felt he had justifiable claims for a handball when his free-kick appeared to hit a Millwall hand in the wall before being cleared. The Scot could also consider himself unfortunate to concede a free-kick when he appeared to come off second best in a wrestle with Smith. The first half had provided good entertainment for the crowd of 14,165, Millwall's biggest for league game since November 2004, and there was drama within two minutes of the re-start when Paul Robinson escaped with a yellow card after hauling down Beckford when through on goal. Bradley Johnson stepped to take the free-kick and curled it wide of Forde's upright. Millwall carved out a good chance on 54 minutes after Leeds had surrendered possession at the other end of the park, but Steve Morison headed straight into the hands of Ankergren. Tony Craig should also have done better when he met a Hackett cross at the far-post, but his header was off target. At the other end, Beckford shot wide from a tight angle, Snodgrass shot straight at Forde, and it took some good defending to deal with a long throw from Bromby. The game continued apace and while Millwall defender Paul Robinson did well when Beckford dropped off his shoulder, Danny Schofield wasted a chance at the other end as the home side broke. With 20 minutes remaining, Grayson made his first change, introducing Tresor Kandol in place of Vokes. Kandol's initial involvement surrounded defending a number of set-pieces as Millwall enjoyed their best spell of pressure, but United, who were culpable in terms of losing possession, were defending stoutly and looking solid under pressure. United's best route was looking increasingly like the quick ball forward, but with 12 minutes left Grayson introduced Max Gradel in place of Snodgrass on the right in the hope of forcing a winner. But it was Millwall who got their noses back in front in the 83rd minute. Substitute Gary Alexander converted a back-post header following a Schofield cross from the left. United's response was to see a Howson shot cleared off the line after a Bromby throw-in had caused problems at the back for Millwall. And in the final minute of the 90, Kandol couldn't believe his luck when he rattled the inside of the woodwork with a stunning opportunist effort. The striker also narrowly failed to make a proper connection with a Johnson cross as United looked to push on in the four minutes of stoppage time. A free-kick in that final moment gave United one last hope, but the ball from deep failed to find anyone in the box, and the unbeaten start to the season had come to an end.
