A harsh penalty on 13 put the hosts in front(Edwards),Lewys increased the lead(18) when he reacted fastest after his low shot was tipped onto the post and got his second(28) nutmegging the keeper after running clear although quite a few Lairds players were convinced he was offside. Lairds had one effort cleared off the line but Maine road had the majority of possession. HT 3:0. This was the classic game of two halves Lairds scored through Kubwalo(51)from a corner routine, Frost(65) great solo effort mazy run and low shot to the right of the keeper and Doran(78) heading home another corner. The last ten minutes where end to end with chances for both as they sought a winner although Lairds claims of timewasting seemed unfounded.
