Comments :
West Ham''s Under 21s were mostly under 20s, with most players being 18 or 19. The centre-forward Divin Mubama was 17. Decent game with Kevin Nolan (Moyes Assistant) in the stand. All West Ham''s outfield players were technically proficient and composed on the ball with the exception of Swyer who frequently lost possession. He did score a well-taken goal though which won the game. After that goal Walsall brought on their skipper/Player of the Year along with the 3 other regular first teamers. They had started with about 5 first teamers, mostly defenders. The rest of the game was about West Ham''s ability to defend 30 minutes of almost constant pressure. The centre-backs Forbes and Laing were outstanding, clearing everything and never panicking. In midfield I was impressed by Keenan Appiah-Forson. He was much the smallest player on the field but was the most competitive. Very skilful and remarkably durable for such a diminutive player. One to watch... Here''s my marks out of 0 for the West Ham team. Hegyi 6 Greenidge 6 Laing 8 Forbes 9 Clayton 7 Appiah-Forson 8 Ekwah 6 Potts 7 Earthy 7 Swyer 5 Mubama 7
