With two players sent off coupled with three more in my previous game at clitheroe, i think this is a record run of red cards i''ve witnessed. Tranmere were up for this from the get go, the kop which can be quiet at home games were in full voice and the players on the front foot with particular success down the right wing through cogley and McManaman. Ironically a harsh sending off of a Salford player had a detrimental effect on the game as the visitors had to change their shape but with Spearing seeing red to even the numbers just before the break with rovers one up from the spot after a handball scored by Morris. The second half opened up a bit with Morris adding an assist with a cross from the byline headed home by Nevitt. Thought the ref got a lot of things wrong decisions going against both sides.
