Went while on holiday in York for the week with Mum, Dad and Joseph. Left the holiday house at about 18:45 and drove to the ground. Got to the ground at about 19:20. Very nice ground and situated right next to a brewery for John Smiths and Heineken. The game itself was one played at a very fast pace and both sides looking to get the ball down and play passing football without lumping it forward to the target man up top. Tadcaster were the better side and had the ball in the net earlier than they originally opened the scoring but it was given offside. Pontefract built their attacks well but didn''t have a final ball to get in behind the Tadcaster defence which let them down throughout the game. Tadcaster eventually opened the scoring in the 40th minute ish after some good play down the wing before it was put into the net from the back post. Tadcaster came out the 2nd half the better side as well and doubled their lead and scored their third in the space of 2 mins which took the game beyond Pontefract. The Tadcaster goalkeeper went down injured with about 10 mins to go and because they had already used 3 subs, they had to put an outfield player in goal and play the game with 10 men. Further to this, a couple of mins before the end of the game, the Tadcaster winner who was probably MOTM was sent off from a 2nd booking after a little scuffle on the pitch. We then left the ground and drove back to the holiday house at about 22:15.
