TOTAL VISITS 2 TRFC VISITS PLD2 W0 D2 L0 GF1 GA1. 670 away fans travelled with real hope of getting a result, arrived later than I would have liked and had to go straight into the ground, frustratingly had to use allocated seating with my view too low down for my liking. The game certainly wasn''t a classic and would have been more suited being played on the rugby pitch behind in a physical encounter. Rovers hit the bar with an Ellis header from a corner in the first half and the post from sub Dagnall in the second half before Newport had a late effort ruled out for offside. A few strange decisions from the ref, on conceding his second free kick Norwood was warned with the ref trying to indicate he''d committed half a dozen infringements with a pointing finger and again after an innocuous challenge later booked the player after the same convoluted display pointing at various imagined discrepancies. Nil nil it ended.
