Neill Collins and Jon Steads last game as manager/coach before exchanging their rolls to Barnsley. Revered by all rowdie fans a hatrick from Jennings proved a fitting send off but he was given the bumps in the centre circle at full time followed by a squad picture in the goalmouth and many fans singing and staying long after the whistle. The pitch wasn''t the best with some sandy patches and water spray. Overall it was a fair result with another goal ruled out for offside however the home keeper had to make three good saves. Corners where sponsored by a cookie company and raise the noise statements followed by the sponsors at every home corner was bizarre as was the announcement for the players to leave the pitch after warming up ten minutes before kick off. A young scouse lad was one of those working in the ticket office and we chatted for ten minutes after i had managed to get a hard copy ticket.
