Comments :
Not much to shout about first half although the hosts did score late in the half with headed pinball in the six yard box. The visiting no3 had appeared to go down far too easily twice early doors drawing derision from the crowd. The visitors are bottom of the league with the hosts only four places above at the start of play but Long Eaton playing down the slope started the second half brighter with an early equaliser from a deflected 20 yard shot into the top left corner. Things could have gone their way but for some ill fortune as an attacker was pulled back as he broke into the box but wriggled free to shoot narrowly wide with the ref playing advantage but he did book the offending defender. On another day it could have been a penalty and a red card. Shortly afterwards the host scored after a diving header was saved the rebound was hit home in a crowded box from six yards. After this it was all Bromsgrove. The no10 scored the goal of the game with a curling effort from 20 yards when he wasn''t closed down. Gloss was put on the result when Long Eaton failed to clear and gave the ball away with a low shot wrong footing the keeper to his left from the edge of the box.
