Comments :
Amazing setting for a football ground, as it stands on the shores of the Moray Firth. Friendly staff. Very nice steak pie, as recommended by a steward. Nowhere to buy a beer. Stands are surprisingly and disappointingly quite far from the pitch, 12-15 yards at least. Early on Raith looked the better side but didn't score until 49th minute. Thistle unlucky not to win the game as four different Caley players hit the woodwork, much to the frustration of their manager Duncan Ferguson. Defeat left them precariously poised near the foot of the table, and kept Raith's promotion hopes alive. Took a long time to get out of the official car-park even though crowd was only 2,300.
