Match no. 15. Easter Saturday. First visit to Stamford Bridge. West Ham made 7 changes from the team that had beaten Spurs 4-1 at White Hart Lane the day before, much to my annoyance. An early example of squad rotation with a Cup-Winners Cup semi-final 2nd leg to come 4 days later. Chelsea led 6-0 before Hammers scored two late goals. Chopper Harris scored for both teams! Chelsea''s other scorers were Graham (2), Tambling (2) and Venables (pen). A Peter Bennett header completed the scoring.
