Match no. 315. Boxing Day morning. Chelsea led 2-0 at half-time through goals by Britton and Hudson before Frank Lampard pulled one back on 49 minutes. The game then turned on an incident in the 57th minute. A thunderous close-range volley from Peter Osgood hit the cross bar and, from the rebound, Hammers swept downfield for Bobby Gould to equalize. Two minutes later Clyde Best put West Ham in front and he then completed the scoring 6 minutes from time.
