Comments :
Travelling south to see Mum and taking the opportunity for a southern game. Stayed with Mandy in Grove last night and then a visit to The Vyne (NT) in the morning and an excellent lunch at The Mill House near Fleet. Then on to the match. Arrived in good time only to find out the KO was delayed until 15:30 as the ref had been stuck in traffic. Bloody unprofessional if you ask me but . . . Ground a lot bigger and more developed than I'd expected at this level: I've seen worse in the League 2 so a credit to them on that score. have to say, though, without wanting to sound snobby, but a lot of the crowd were 'rough'. The game got off to a feisty start, never more so than when Enfield took a shock lead after 14 minutes. the end result though still didn't feel in doubt. The relative league positions didn't lie. Farnborough were clearly the better side and eventually the goals came to send them top. With the delayed start and me having to get to Guildford for the theatre visit I had to leave well before the end. Half an hour easy walk to the station only to have the train delayed. But still got back in plenty of time.
