Went to Madrid for the day with Charlie. Left the hostel in Valencia at about 6:45 and got the train to Madrid getting there just after 10:00. Walked to see the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium which was unimpressive. Decided to head straight to Leganes after this and got to the ground about 1 hour before KO. The game itself was a very entertaining one with the home side significantly better despite battling relegation. They managed to score twice in the first half and take a 2-0 lead into HT. They came out the second half and added a third which should have seen then home. Despite the lead, Espanyol managed to get themselves back into the game but their second was the last kick of the game and the home side got an important three points. Went back to Madrid for the rest of the afternoon before heading back to Valencia. Got back to the hostel at 23:30.
