Comments :
Left home at about 11:30 and walked to Streatham Common with Dad. Got the train to Clapham Junction before changing for a train to Wembley Central. Had lunch in Costa outside the station before walking to the ground getting there at about 13:45. The game itself was an entertaining one with Southend taking the lead within five minutes. Oldham had the better chances in the first half and should have gone in level at the break. Again, within five minutes of the second half there was a goal and Oldham levelled from the penalty spot. The game ended 1-1 and it went to extra time where Southend retook the lead within the first minute. Oldham managed to turn it round dramatically in the second half of extra time with two goals in two minutes to win promotion. Walked back towards Wembley Central to get a bus to Alperton but no buses were coming so walked all the way. Got the Piccadilly Line to Earl''s Court before getting the District Line to Wimbledon. Got the 57 home and got back just before 20:00.
